The National Cord Blood Program is seeking exceptional laboratory professionals
to join our team.
Laboratory Career Opportunities are available in:
• Hemoglobin Testing Technologist
(CLT Licensed Required)
Perform testing of the placental blood units collected by the Program for
hemoglobinopathies, in particular sickle hemoglobin and thalassemia.
• Processing Lab
Process and test placental blood units collected by National Cord Blood Program.
No license required.
• EPI Lab (CLT License Required)
Conduct selected tests on specimens. Store, ship and retrieve specimens via
sterile technique and laboratory SOPs.
• QC Lab (CLT License Required)
Perform cell and plasma aliquots, cell culture and PCR assays. Store/ship
specimens and conduct tests as necessary.
• HLA Lab (CLT License Required)
Perform typing for HLA Antigens and Alleles using serological/molecular typing
methods (DNA extraction, sequenced-based typing, sequence specific primers).
All positions require a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Science. A NYS Clinical
Laboratory Technologist’s license is highly desired.
