The International Center for the Disabled, one of Gramercy’s leading outpatient centers is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our multidisciplinary team. ICD works with a dynamic population including orthopedic, neurological and cognitive rehabilitation. Work hours: Tues/Thurs or Wed/Fri 10a.m. – 2p.m.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Administers therapy only after a consumer has been evaluated and a treatment plan and goals have been established by a physical therapist;
Administers a variety of modalities including hydrotherapy, heat and cold modalities, electrical stimulation, therapeutic exercises, or soft tissue work, etc;
Administers various forms of exercise programs as formulated by a licensed physical therapist and performs other related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: An Associate Arts Degree or Assistants Program in Physical Therapy is required. Computer and MS Office Suite skills are necessary.
