COMPANY DESCRIPTION:
Chimera Securities is a Manhattan-based proprietary trading broker-dealer, specializing in electronically trading the US stock markets. Since its predecessor entity launched in 2000, Chimera Securities has been hiring and training traders from the top universities in the U.S. Using state-of-the-art technology to access market liquidity, our traders learn to harness the momentum and volatility of the market. Chimera Securities has offices in New York, Boston, and Los Angeles and is currently opening an office in White Plains, NY.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor degree required. 3.0 GPA preferred. We are looking for hard-working, self-motivated individuals with strong quantitative and analytical skills. Traders must be able to work well as part of a team and individually. This is a fast-paced and challenging environment that requires the ability to focus and maintain composure under intense pressure. No previous trading experience is necessary.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
New traders will be trained under the supervision and instruction of experienced traders. After an in-house training seminar, new traders learn how to trade live in the market. The only responsibility of a trader is to trade. This position will be based in White Plains, NY after a two month training program in Manhattan.
Compensation will be commission-based as a percentage of trading profits. There are no earning caps and no capital contribution is required.
