My company is a growing IT service provider & I am looking for an As-needed “Field Computer Technician” to handle issues & request for my clients. Clients are spread through NYC (five boroughs & New Jersey
I emphasize that this is an as-needed position. This is not part time or Full Time job. We frequently have situations where we have more work than our current staff can handle. In these situations we need someone who can help fill the gap.
This position is ideal for someone looking for some extra income. It is Ideal for someone who has an evening or night job already & wants’ to earn some extra income during the days. I am not looking for someone who is in between jobs & looking for something to help fill the gap until they find a regular paying job. I will verify this!
They must have the following skill set.
• 3-5 years experience doing desktop support & frontline customer service
• Must be able to support all aspects of Mac OSX. Apps & peripherals. This is a must! Someone with just windows experience will not be considered at all. Half of my clients are Mac users, so I need this skill.
• A+ or MSCP certified or equivalent skills for windows support. The other half of my clients is windows users. Windows XP – Vista desktop support. If you played with Win7 it will be nice.
• Full understanding of TCP-IP & be able to setup wireless networks, routers, switches. Doesn’t have to have network admin skills, but must understand basic networking.
• Basic Windows server support. Users admin, file share & print setup. Doesn’t need to be a senior admin, but must understand basic server admin skills.
• Great customer services skills i.e. friendly, patient, courteous, responsible, good work ethic & willing to make a customer satisfied that their problem was resolved.
• Organized & with how they handle their work.
• Have great communication skills. Meaning someone who speaks professionally & handles themselves in a professional manner.
• Must be able to work without supervision or technical assistance unless absolutely needed. Someone who has good troubleshooting skills.
• Must also have a reliable car to get to clients outside of NYC where public transportation isn’t available.
The rate is $30 per hour & this will be a 1099 contractor position.
