Social Expeditions is looking for a full time 2D/3D Artist to join us!
We are a growing team behind blockbusters on Facebook and MySpace. Millions use our products.. This includes casual and semi-immersive games as well as other social apps.
Responsibilities:
You will work with the developers and the product leads in a tight knit team, creating art assets that drive the visual identity and user experience of our applications and games. The artist will have significant creative input into the direction of the applications.
These assets will include:
1. Final in-game artwork and placeholder artwork as needed by the developers.
2. Game-related artwork for marketing purposes.
Required Skills:
• Quick sketching and storyboarding experience
• Ability to communicate visually, and to identify and define visual design issues and solutions
• Excellent design skills, including the effective use of color, form, lighting and composition
• A passion for games, virtual worlds, and social networking
• Excellent Photoshop skills (CS3-4) compositing, texture painting, tiling, retouch, filtering, scripting
• Experience with Maya 8.5+ a plus
• Experience in Flash a plus
• Experience in art for games a plus
