Experienced as well as recent (December) grads or upcoming Spring 2010 grads encouraged to apply.
Duties: Responsible for following filing procedures, collating tax returns, preparing client packets and client deliverables, setting appointments, answering basic tax questions, preparing basic tax returns and maintaining orderly work papers.
Qualifications: Candidate should have an accounting or business degree and is able to work independently. This position requires professionalism as client contact will be an important aspect of the job. Additional skills required are proficiency in Word and Excel, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Benefits: Great office location. Professional and pleasant office environment to learn individual tax preparation. Learn skills in tax preparation, tax software (Proseries) and Quickbooks to put on your resume for entry level tax accounting, tax research, office management, and marketing positions.
Compensation: This is a contract position (1099) position through April 21,2010. Pay is based on total tax return volume for office set at $25 per tax return, and $5 for each complete phone log. Guarantee minimums for office are 150 tax returns and 100 phone logs. Compensation paid upon completion of tax season, an every other weekly draw will be paid of $600 until the bonus is calculated on April 15th. Hours are flexible, some Saturdays.
