This position reports to the head of the Community Resources Department and requires an individual, with exceptional communication skills, who is extremely detail-oriented, highly organized and possesses a strong track record of execution of projects and other deliverables, including, but not limited to, budget, compliance, business planning, communications strategy and processes.
Responsibilities
Providing leadership for the business administration function of the Community Resources Department, including, but not limited to, developing the Annual Business Plan; developing operating metrics and reporting; financial and management reporting; vendor governance and vendor relations; risk management and audit coordination; Initiative and Business Case development; serving as central point of contact for technology upgrades and user acceptance testing; coordination of Pandemic, Records Retention and Business Continuation processes; space management; management of ad hoc projects; responding to surveys and internal and external information requests; overseeing people management processes; coordinating departmental workflow among the administrative assistants, managing staff; Serving as Chief of Staff to the head of the Community Resources Department. In this capacity, serves as surrogate for the department head, developing department head’s communications, making presentations before internal and external audiences, managing cross-functional teams, participating on company-wide teams, developing and executing initiatives to improve and sustain a positive work environment; In collaboration with the department head and the unit heads, managing and coordinating communications process and strategy, including, but not limited to, preparation of internal and external press releases, speeches, presentations, articles, Community Resources annual reports; In partnership with the leadership team, coordinating the development, monitoring and reporting of the department’s business plans, e.g., strategic plans, diversity leadership.
Requirements
Proven ability to be detail-oriented
5 to 8 years of corporate business administration experience
Strong working knowledge of administrative processes, e.g., risk management, auditing, records retention, vendor management
Prior experience developing and monitoring Annual Business Plans
Prior experience interacting with senior level executives
Proven ability to lead and/or work on multiple projects while producing quality work products
Demonstrated ability to effectively influence others
Exceptional written communication skills; 3 to 5 years of prior experience in developing business communications
Public speaking experience
Experience working with Oracle or comparable budgeting and forecasting tools
Strong people management skills
Knowledge of Prudential – a plus
Prior experience managing an office – a plus
Experience with philanthropy – a plus
