IT Helpdesk and Network Support Technician Established Long Island City based IT Company is looking for an IT Helpdesk and Network Support Technician. Duties and Responsibilities • Provide desk-side / telephone support to end users • Keep end users updated on the status of the problem they are experiencing • Set up workstations and laptops for end users • Perform software and hardware installs and upgrades • Maintain Documentation on Workstations, printers IP addresses and proper mapping • Provide and maintain appropriate staff access or privileges to databases, programs, and/or files and documents • Work with hardware / software vendors to resolve warranty and repair issues • Escalate issues to IT consulting company and/or software and hardware vendors • Perform all other related duties as assigned Basic Qualifications • A Bachelors degree or an equivalent combination of education and related experience. • Excellent problem solving, communication, and interpersonal skills. Must exhibit a positive customer friendly attitude and have the ability to work in a team environment. • Experience with desktop hardware, software applications, operating systems and network connectivity. • Understanding of network switching and routing. • Experience with virus / malware / spyware / adware / greyware removal and prevention. • Must be able to lift 50 lbs• Must be available to respond to and provide support on weekends when needed• Clean Drivers License• Own car helpful, but not needed

- This well regarded secondary school in the Guildford area of Surrey is looking for a Head of Social Sciences, to start in September 2009 (full-time, permanent). You must be able to teach one of the following subjects in addition to having management experience; Psychology, Sociology, Business Studies or Economics.
