Reports To: Property Manager
Position Summary
Assistant to the Property Manager on a day-to-day basis with the administration and management of
the properties with particular emphasis on administrative tasks and addressing tenant complaints as
well as the needs of the properties.
Responsibilities
• Assist the Property Manager in addressing the needs of the properties
• Addresses tenant complaints
• Prepares correspondence and notices
• Prepares paperwork with respect to tenant accounts
• Orders materials and supplies for the properties
• Arranges for repair and maintenance of property facilities and apartment units
• Arranges for repair and replacement of appliances and other equipment
• Processes check requests and invoices and Property Manager’s expense reimbursement
• Filing, copying, faxing, scanning and other administrative office tasks
• Scheduling appointments for repairs and for meetings with Property Manager
• Meeting with tenants
• Monitoring lease expirations and distribution of rent bills
Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
• Ability to engage in telephone communications in a professional manner
• Ability to use and understand Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Ability to write and communicate effectively
• Knowledge of basic office machine systems such as copy machines, fax machines, scanners
• Basic math skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Some knowledge of the Yardi program preferred
• Ability to function effectively in a customer service environment
