Small, full-service Long Island based promotion marketing company is looking for a well-organized, detail oriented, multi-tasker who is able to communicate effectively to assist in implementing online and offline promotions. The CompanyOur client is a global leader in the food & beverage industry and has an established base in Ireland. Due to a recent acquisitions, an opportunity as a business planner has arisen in their accounts department for a business planner. The RolePreparation and validation of annual Ireland Cost of Goods Sold (COGs) Standard Costs including detailed cause of change analysis for five divisions working closely with the Regional Supply Chain Team and PWF Purchasing and Finance Teams and presentation of same to Regional Senior Management.Preparation of Quarterly Forecasts and Latest Estimates for COGs and presentation of same to Regional Senior Management.Monthly reconciliation of COGs in COGNOS to Oracle.Responsible for accurate and timely reporting of COGs variances and providing insightful analysis of same for both local plant and PWF management teams on a monthly basis.Drive process improvements in Cost of Sales process with specific focus on improving the accuracy of variance forecasts.Own and develop the COGNOS COGs model to meet current and future business information needsThe Ideal CandidateQualified accountant with 4-5 Years post qualification experience ideally in a high volume multinational manufacturing environment.Excellent understanding of standard costing systems and variances.Ability to manage conflicting priorities and meet tight deadlinesExcellent communication skills required .Proficient user of excel COGNOS/ Mapics/AS400/Oracle experience would be an advantage. The Role In this role your initial brief will be to assist the new companies assimilation into the group as well as completing risk based `deep dive` audits. Alongside this you will also be tasked with undertaking reviews of the existing group companies internationally and in the London Head Office. To apply for this role you will be a Big 4 trained Chartered Accountant with at least two Eastern European languages.
