An entrepreneurial, high-growth, dynamic organization operating in an under-served niche of the commodities, energy, energy trading, and financial services arena seeks a like minded candidate for the post of “ETRM analyst”. ETRM’s are specialized enterprise-wide systems, and our firm focuses on providing targeted, niche services and solutions in an underserved area of the market.
ETRM = Enterprise Trade Risk Management;
We are a global company, with clients in Europe and the United States, delivery capabilities in United States, Canada, Europe and India. Despite our global foot-print we operate via a horizontal management structure – and the position in question will report directly to one of the partners of the firm. This is truly an amazing opportunity to learn the global energy, commodity, and energy trading business directly from an expert in the field.
Ideal candidate will possess an undergraduate degree from a top US or Canadian university in math, engineering, science, computer science, or a related field, along with one (1) to two (2) years experience.
Skills required:
1. Complex problem solving skills (you should be able to infer knowledge from seemingly random and complex data)
2. Some software development capability (in Java, C++, or a similar language) as well as excellent knowledge of Excel
3. The ability to work in teams of global professionals, and
4. Most-importantly the ability to interface with clients.
This is a client-facing position that requires passion for travel and learning. Knowledge of any leading ETRM’s is not required, although a plus. Training on popular ETRM’s within the industry will be provided. This is truly an opportunity to see the world, learn key business skills and “recession-proof” your career.
