The company is a rapidly-growing hedge fund, trading, and financial technology company based in Red Bank, NJ - a hip, upscale town on the Jersey Shore (about 1 hour from NYC) that is easily accessible by public transportation. The company uses advanced computational and quantitative methods to design and manage highly profitable automated investment strategies, both for its flagship hedge fund business and its own proprietary high frequency trading efforts. Throughout its history, the company has maintained a sterling reputation for technological excellence and has amassed an excellent track record of risk-adjusted returns. In recognition of such, the company`s fund was recently named in the Top 5 Equity Market-Neutral hedge funds by Barclay`s Managed Funds Report (Q1, 2009). We are currently seeking extremely bright, articulate, highly-motivated candidates to join our team who will make contributions to the design, development, and maintenance of high-performance and low latency data management systems, the design, development, and maintenance of automated trading systems, the development of technical architecture/infrastructure, the development of quantitative research tools, and the development of portfolio management tools,Our requirements are the following:* Highly qualified BS, MS, and PhD graduates from top programs in Math, Physics, CS, and EE* 3-5 years of related work experience* Must be proficient in Unix, Linux, and/or BSD programming, including C/C++/STL and, ideally, two of the following languages: Python, bash, Awk, TCL/Tk, Perl.* Experience in network, parallel/distributed, multithreaded, and/or FPGA programming will be a plus.* Interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively are essential* Experience in the financial industry is NOT a requirement and we welcome candidates who have had no exposure to finance whatsoever* You will be tested during the interview process on general skill areas, as well as your professed areas of expertiseThis is an excellent opportunity for anyone looking to begin a career in hedge funds and gain exposure to quantitative trading and high frequency investment strategies.
