We are seeking a Content Developer to be a centralized resource for all Incisivemedia US publications and services. A leader interested in helping change, formulate, and implement a strategy for building and transforming all content (data) types. The position is responsible for developing and advocating content standards that maximize potential for content integration and repurposing. By helping to form and develop workflow models and conventions that yield high quality XML and metadata, all with the idea of content distribution and reuse for new products and services as the business requests and creates new products. Experience in migrating from a print to an on-line business is a plus.The position would report to the IT Director and also needs to act as a liaison aiding and advising business units and leaders in deriving rich content from and to an integrated content repository. The ability to evaluate, recommend and implement content enrichment strategies, tools and workflow across platforms and products is key. The ideal candidate must have familiarity with print, web and data workflows. Knowledge of magazine and newspaper content; production processes; XML, XSLTs, InDesign, and familiarity/prior experience with content management and digital asset technologies, as well as, data quality initiatives will ensure success. Familiar with Mark Logic-type tools is also very helpful.Responsibilities include:• Ability to learn, devise and change strategies in and around content ingestion, storage, enrichment and reuse in an environment that has a mix of old and new technology.• Acquire and document solutions based end user (customer) requirements.• Document and share solutions.• Stay current and ahead of new technologies and services as they apply the field, and assist in decisions related to buy, build or lease. • Streamlining and automating processes for content management and delivery will also be required.Requirements:• 4 year degree in Information or Computer Science• At least four years of functional and/or technical knowledge and expertise; experience in online/print publishing a plus • Experience in web-based design and programming, including HTML, JavaScript, XML, XSLT. • Independent problem solving experience and debugging skills • Strong knowledge of & experience in InDesign, Windows, OSX, Microsoft Office.Qualified candidates should submit resume and cover letter with salary requirements to opportunities@incisivemedia.com for immediate consideration.
