Contract research firm seeks temporary staff to conduct field surveys in New York City in a major public service organization. The project begins in April and ends in June. Seeking candidates with a Bachelor’s degree, excellent listening skills, excellent English-speaking abilities, attention to detail, facility with basic math, and interest in public service organizations. The project requires travel by public transportation throughout New York City’s five boroughs.Hours will range from 20 to 40 per week during normal working hours. Your Profile
You will be a Journalist / Reporter with knowledge of working across an international market sector. Experience of writing about the energy markets, preferably gas is essential for this position. Demonstrated numeracy skills would be highly beneficial. The position involves talking with senior-level executives and others on market-sensitive information, so most importantly; it is essential that you are professional, personable and diplomatic.
The Role
As a Senior Market Reporter you will be speaking with brokers and traders every day, getting price assessments and writing commentaries, in addition to writing daily stories and occasionally longer features. You will need to establish contacts and maintain strong working relationships with the major players in the commodities markets to generate information.
