The Role
A qualified Lawyer with at least 3 years post-admission experience (of which at least 2 years should be in the Gulf / MENA region) with specific experience in:
? Dealing with Master Developers, land registration, municipal and other regulatory authorities.
? Advising on land acquisition program including review of land sale and purchase agreements and related documentation.
? Establishment and management of documentary records.
? Negotiation and drafting of MoU`s, JVA`s, and Development Agreements with both private and public entities globally.
? Dealing with architects and other professional consultants. Construction experience will be well-regarded but is not mandatory.
? Negotiation & settlement of disputes.

The Role
Assisting in-house Trademark Counsel(s) with respect to the grant and the defence of their business trademark and industrial design rights including but not limited to the following tasks:

- Filing of trademark/industrial design protections on a worldwide basis (from filing to grant) using all available systems such as the International Trademark System (Madrid System), Community Trademark as well as national trademark system

- The above includes: Sending of instructions to external agents (PoA, declarations, etc), limitation of list of goods/services and responses to office actions, oppositions, etc.

- Competitive Trademark watching: Review trademark watch notices and - in agreement with the in-house Trademark Counsel (s) - instruct external agents in case of opposition and/or negotiation with third parties

- Gathering of information relating to the use of their trademarks worldwide, creating a ``knowledge database`` in view of international conflicts and applications for well-known recognition of business trademarks.
