Position Title: Admissions Counselor
Department: Admissions Status: Exempt
Category: Full-time staff
Function of the Job:
The Admissions Counselor establishes and maintains effective communication with prospective students and other agencies and organizations in order to meet enrollment goals.
Reports to: Director of Admissions/Registrar
Qualifications:
* Bachelor`s degree required
* Three to five years relevant experience
* Ability to interact effectively via phone and in-person
* Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
* Ability to work a flexible schedule
* Student-focused attitude
* Ability to work with a diverse population of applicants
* Ability to work on Apple Computer
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Assist with preparation and implement enrollment plan for ESE-NY.
* Prospect for qualified students.
* Explain and interpret admissions policies and procedures to prospective students.
* Generate reports that track progress toward enrollment goals.
* Explain benefits and objectives of ESE`s philosophy and its degree and certificate programs.
* Maintain detailed knowledge of all academic programs.
* Guide students through the admission process.
* Set, confirm, conduct appointments and interviews.
* Advise and register students.
* Other duties as assigned by the Director of Admissions.
Salary:
Internship Reimbursement $ 250.00 a week
