Provide support to Medical/Editorial team. Responsible for research, fact-checking, referencing, proofreading, obtaining permissions and copyrights, filing, and general support on editorial projects
Responsibilities:
• Conduct literature searches and perform research on the internet and using library resources
• Collect and organize references
• Prepare promotional projects for medical/legal submission
• Fact check projects
• Proofread slides, abstracts, symposia invitations and on-site materials; galleys; proposals, memos; boiler plate materials with meeting specifications.
• Obtain permissions to reproduce figures and tables
• File copyrights with US copyright office
• Organize project files
• Obtain price estimates for reprints
• Department invoice reconciliation
• Misc. photocopying and reference filing
• Travels on-site (3 – 5 times per year) to assist with meetings
Requirements:
• Organization skills
• Research skills
• Proofreading and copyediting skills
• BA/BS degree, Life Sciences preferred
• Able to travel on weekends as required
