Business Development Manager
Specific Areas of Responsibility
Relationship Building
: Partnering with high schools to offer test preparation for students
Initiate meetings with administrators and college counselors
Travel by car or public transportation to schools throughout the region (4-5 days of in-person meetings per week)
Deliver effective and dynamic presentations to various audiences including administrators, college counselors, parents and students
Marketing
: Promote our courses and tutoring to potential customers
Drive enrollment growth in the territory
Coordinate direct mailings, speaking engagements and community outreach
Execution
: Ensure the proper execution or courses within the region
Follow up with contacts regarding scheduling and implementation of programs
Communicate with team members within your region to coordinate courses
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor`s Degree
Sales experience
Access to a vehicle
Ability and willingness to travel regularly within the region
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
The ability to solve problems quickly and creatively
The ability to work both independently and on teams
Preferred
Experience in the field of education
Client-facing experience
Experience at SCORE, Kaplan, Princeton Review, Sylvan or similar a plus.
Salary and Benefits
Generous compensation package ($60-80k) including base salary ($40-50k) and performance with bonus possibilities of up to 30k. Health and dental coverage, paid vacation, and 401k plan.
