We are a separate R&D type unit within the larger organization.The JobAs the head of business operations, partnerships and content acquisition you will be core member of our leadership group. You will immediately have the ability to drive our overall direction for strategic partnerships, revenue objectives and business strategy.With so much to get done, every member of the team is encouraged to participate in all areas of the group. We expect this to excite our candidates and find that the right candidates often make great contributions outside of their area of focus.Responsibilities:*Identify, negotiate and manage strategic relationships with content and technological partners*Develop and execute business strategies to enhance content offerings on the site*Develop and execute innovative advertising and revenue generating strategies*Utilize and continue to grow a pre-existing industry wide network of relationship through conferences, blogs, social media, and brick-and-mortar networking*Represent the company at industry conferences and events*Track, analyze and communicate key metrics and business trends relating to our product*Work with cross-functional internal team to identify business initiatives that will enhance product offering*Monitoring the competitive landscape and industry happeningsExperience Guidelines (some of this should apply to you):*BA/BS from a top tier university - Business or Computer Science preferred - MBA is a plus*Have 2-7 years of experience in business development, marketing, or sales, with significant exposure to Internet related businesses*Worked for an Internet startup, content provider, or web company*Demonstrated ability to utilize data to evaluate complex issues and generate detailed strategies*Familiarity with/love of the entire Internet, every page (you may dislike some)*Experience managing and growing an online business and community through utilizing web and social media tools*Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills – including experience in high-level business conversations and presentationsWe would be very happy if you:*Maintain relationships with industry “insiders” and leading companies*Amazing at building financial models*Mergers and Acquisition experienceNext StepsIf you think you are the one we’re looking for, then, please send your resume along with a friendly note to: jobs@kgbweb.com(Note: Avoid formal cover letters and the procrastination that comes with them.
