This energy specialist sole practitioner based in the heart of Victoria is looking for a Legal Secretary with a wealth of Energy law experience to join them on a 9 month contract to cover a maternity leave.

This role has a wide variety of duties and therefore leaves you with scope to get as involved as you wish! This sole practitioner is looking for a true right hand that will be able to anticipate travel arrangements, diary entries, court bundles, basic correspondence and answering simple enquiries by file reference. 70% of your day will be spent typing so a typing speed of 65wpm+ is a must together with a good eye for detail to ensure accuracy. Your Profile


A leading Representative and lobbying body for UK business is currently looking to recruit and experience Statistician with a background in survey development and analysis. Working as a Statistician and Analyst within this leading organisation, you`ll need to be highly experienced in the following;



A proven and demonstrable flair for statistics, data and mathematics and an understanding of the value of economic tendency surveys and the ability to devise and review survey content/questions/answers/outputs to ensure complete methodological veracity

Highest standards of statistical programming and development of `things statistical` including developing medians, means, deciles, chi-square, sample variances etc

Proven experience in comprehensive system testing to eliminate errors

Design and analysis of datasets for use by economists/survey group/external stakeholders in a variety of formats ? tables, charts, graphs, time series with the ability to develop accessible information on their structures for internal and external use

Proven and demonstrable advanced use of Excel, Visual Basic, SPSS, C++, SQL Querying as well as ability to make use of other technologies where needed.

Knowledge and understanding of official national economic data and standard industrial classifications {SIC/NACE} and other economic and business survey populations to assist in developing weighting and classification mechanisms on agreed economic variables and data with the ability to back-cast data.

Innovative development, use and adaptation of potentially complex weighting methods/structures, firm-level data and analysis and analysis of sample/non-response to allow for a greater insight into survey structures and for the future proofed integrity of our technical methods

Excellent written and verbal communication skills for purpose of dealings within internal stakeholders of all levels

The Role


Statistical programming and delivery of accurate survey-based data

Development, testing and implementation of complex technical survey infrastructures and economic tendency survey questions

Developing innovative `future proofing` methods, weighting, sampling, non-response analysis

Documentation of all statistical survey programming and methodological change and the ability to share knowledge with survey team, non-specialists and economists

Developing and adhering to the highest standards of best practice in statistical programming, software management and the archiving of all datasets and the highest standards of accuracy/data handling as cited in the Survey Group`s confidentiality protocols

Introduction and exploitation of other in-house survey capabilities for use within the Survey Group and on behalf of other CBI survey-based activity with specific attention to online and web-based solutions
